Currently companies like At&t and Charter have begun to limit the amount of data their users are allowed per month. Charter has even began to block access to ThePirateBay.org (which after Charter's merger with NBC is extremely controversial.) The internet has we currently know it is dying. Companies and the government are trying to restrict and control access to all parts of the web. In the name of the law and goodness they proclaim their deeds, while every day users are the ones suffering.
